Kelly Barnhill is writer, teacher and mom.  Her work has appeared in journals such as The Sun, The Rake, Weird Tales, Postscripts and Fantasy. Her first novel, a middle grade fantasy set in Iowa, will be published in the spring of 2011 by Little, Brown. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her three aspiring-evil-genius children, her hardworking husband, and her emotionally unstable dog.
