Bio

G. D. Falksen is an author and student of history.  He writes in a number genres, but he has received the most attention for his steampunk work.  He is a speaker at various conventions, and he has written articles and given various lectures on the steampunk genre and subculture as well as on alternate history and the neo-vintage movement.  He has also been interviewed on the subject by the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Hartford Courant, Marie Claire Italia, NHK, VBS.tv and MTV.  Several of his articles have appeared internationally.  He is the lead writer for the video game project AIR: Steampunk, a writer for Unhallowed Metropolis, and he blogs for Tor.com.

He is currently eligible for the John W. Campbell Award for best new science fiction or fantasy writer whose first work of science fiction or fantasy was published in a professional publication in the previous two years.
