Bio

Erin Cashier is fond of the unreliable narrator.

I’m dying to leave things at that, but —

My main journal is at Fate Loves the Fearless. It’s private, but if you’ve got an lj account you can peek in. I grew up in Texas but I live/work/play in Northern California, I have a redwood tree in my front yard, like all writers my cat loves me particularly much, and my fiance is a fantastic man.

The things that interest me most are Disneyland (not kidding), esoteric philosophy books, alchemy as it relates to Jungian theories, William Blake, and the Office.

Things you should know about me: I made a special side trip to that Snake Farm between San Antonio and Austin on a recent trip to Texas, I have quite a lot of tattoos, and I can eat my weight in sushi.

"Cruciger" is in Writers of the Future volume 24.

"Hangman" is live at Beneath Ceaseless Skies as of 2/12/09.

"The Alchemist's Feather" will be appearing in Beneath Ceaseless Skies sometime in 2009.

"Bloodreader" will be appearing in Three Crow Press Fall of 2009.

"Greg's Life, the King James Version" will be appearing in Issue #6 of Polluto Magazine

and "...that I carried you" will appeared in Hadley Rille Books Footprints anthology in July 2009

"Maze", originally published in Fishnet magazine, will be reprinted in the Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica in 2010

"Near the Flame" is upcoming in Shimmer Magazine

From Publishers Weekly: "In Erin Cashier's compelling post-apocalyptic tale "Cruciger," 30 WC Planet Builder Duxa, an intelligent spacecraft, undertakes a mission to recreate humanity on a terra-formed world after a plague destroys nearly all human life on Earth. Duxa's struggle to accomplish her mission is a sophisticated exploration of morality and faith."

Unreliability commences.
