LATEST NEWS! Brad R. Torgersen is a 2012 SFWA Nebula award nominee!
Brad R. Torgersen had a dual break-in with the simultaneous publication of his novelettes, "Exanastasis," and, "Outbound," the former appearing in Writers of the Future XXVI and the latter appearing in the November 2010 issue of Analog Science Fiction & Fact magazine.
"Outbound" would eventually go on to earn Torgersen the Analog Analytical Laboratory ('AnLab') Readers' Choice Award, in addition to re-publication in Russia's ESLI science fiction magazine, and selection for the first Analog magazine retrospective e-anthology: Into the New Millennium: Trailblazing Tales From Analog Science Fiction and Fact, 2000 - 2010
Subsequent appearances in Analog magazine include, "The Chaplain's Assistant," in the September 2011 issue, "The Bullfrog Radio Astronomy Project," in the October 2011 issue, and the novelette, "Ray of Light," which was the featured cover story for the December 2011 issue, accompanied by a commissioned painting from Hugo-winning science fiction and fantasy artist, Bob Eggleton. The story "Strobe Effect," co-written with Analog author Alastair Mayer, is coming in a future issue.
Torgersen's other work has appeared in Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show, and he has collaborated several times with Nebula and Hugo award-winner Mike Resnick; most recently for the Mammoth Book of SF Wars, edited by Ian Watson.
