Why is membership restricted?
Accountability and use of real names are good ways to foster civilized interaction, which is why we grow the Writertopia membership through referrals. Growing the member base by invitation also helps us monitor resources and correct issues before large numbers of writers are inconvenienced.
How can I get membership?
There are two ways you can become a member:
- You can be invited by a current member, either an invited pro writer (e.g., a Campbell-eligible writer) or a registered workshop student.
- You can request membership based on sale (advanced payment) of your work
Why do I need a Google account?
Some Writertopia features will use Google resources provided to each Google account holder like document management through Google Docs. In the future, we may allow a variety of logins using Facebook Connect, Yahoo, etc.
