Bio

Ronald D. Ferguson is currently eligible for the John W. Campbell Award for best new science fiction or fantasy writer whose first work of science fiction or fantasy was published in a professional publication in the previous two years.

Ronald D. Ferguson, PhD. (1942- ) was born in San Antonio, TX. With years of experience in teaching mathematics, he holds degrees from Baylor University, University of North Texas, and Texas A&M. An active member of the SFWA, he writes full-time, both fiction and non-fiction. His stories have appeared in Daily Science Fiction, The Grantville Gazette, Futures:Nature and others. Among his other interests are making stained glass, painting, woodworking, wine making, gardening, and travel. He lives on two acres of the Texas hill country with his wife and five feral cats. -No light is as bright nor lamp so revealing as the illumination of the mind.
