Bio

Alastair Mayer was born in London, UK, raised in Canada and now lives in Colorado.  A long-time SF fan and sometime space and computer writer, Alastair became eligible for the John W. Campbell Award with the publication "Light Conversation", a Probability Zero feature in the June 2010 issue of Analog.    His homage to Edgar Allen Poe, "Poetic Justice", is the lead story in the anthology Space Horrors published in October 2010.

He has sold four more stories to Analog, including a soon-to-appear collaboration with Brad Torgersen, and published a novel, The Chara Talisman, which builds on his story "Stone Age" from Analog's June 2011 issue. Sequels, new Probability Zero stories and others are in the works.
